Kusuri Premium again fills a requirement we feel, for a very high quality Koi food manufactured on a fresh regular basis in the UK. A food sensibly priced which has just about everything beneficial included in a cyprinid diet, a spectrum of beneficial ingredients to their own researched formulation. They do not use any chemical colour enhancers or substitute proteins.
Koi have quite strict requirements for lipids, fibre, minerals, vitamins and protein. Some ingredients will supply essential lipids, fibre, minerals, vitamins and amino acids, but alone, lack the required levels that are needed for Koi.
In fact, the presence of certain excess Amino acids can have detrimental effects on the rate of growth. For example, high levels of Isoleucine are known to reduce the growth rate on carp. Kusuri have formulated their food to provide the correct balance of all the major requirements for Koi.
Included are the immune and health enhancing properties of propolis, garlic and brewers yeast. Kusuri FPF-1 is formulated for low waste and low nitrogenous output, as well as high growth, with natural chemical free colour enhancement. Also included is a generous amount of wheatgerm, along with the improved nutrient assimilation properties of Kusuri Klay. Although Kusuri advise no minimum feeding temperature, we suggest that you change to Kusuri Wheatgerm from 1`4- 12 deg.C. and stop feeding altogether at 8deg.C. (46deg.F.) on a falling temperature.
